Market overview
Launched by CZ in 2014. Reborn on BNB Chain.
In 2014, on the Federal Reserve's 100th birthday, an account named btcpay86 launched Federal Reserve Coin ($FRSC) on Bitcointalk. That account is CZ. The coin that mocked the money printer, eleven years before the whole chain caught up.
TBA — launching on BNB Chain
The lore
Federal Reserve Coin wasn't a fork of a fork. It was a joke about central banking, shipped by the man who would go on to build the largest exchange on earth.
On December 18, 2013 the Fed announced the taper of quantitative easing — monthly bond purchases cut from $10B to $75B. Five years of the "printing machine" had a name, and crypto had a punchline.
FRSC launches on Bitcointalk, timed to the Federal Reserve's 100th birthday — a virtual currency dedicated to a century of "printing", and to the people who kept paying for it. Tagline on the original site: WILL NOT BE DEVALUED COINS.
The launching account, btcpay86, is CZ himself. His post history reads like a résumé of early crypto: hands-on wallet support, exchange plumbing, and — translate the page and search for it — blockchain.info, where CZ worked before Binance.
The original chain faded, the domain lapsed, the site survives only in the Wayback Machine. The ticker doesn't die. $FRSC is reborn on BNB Chain — CZ's coin, on CZ's chain, holding the same seal.
